Help with Multiple Audio Sources and ALSA

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

first of all, thank you for PulseAudio. It's a wonderful project which works really well out-of-the-box and provides great audio quality.

My sound card features two capture devices according to ALSA. However, PulseAudio seems to only expose one capture device. I want PulseAudio to expose both devices. However, I could not make this work. I tried looking through the documentation but couldn't find anything which helps me. Is there any way I can make PulseAudio expose both capture devices instead of only one? Thank you.

Capture devices as reported by arecord -l:
**** List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices ****
    card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: ALC1150 Analog [ALC1150 Analog]
      Subdevices: 1/1
      Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
    card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 2: ALC1150 Alt Analog [ALC1150 Alt Analog]
      Subdevices: 1/1
      Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

Capture devices as reported by pacmd list-sources:
        index: 0
            name: <alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3.analog-stereo.monitor>
                    device.string = "0"
      * index: 1
            name: <alsa_input.pci-0000_00_1f.3.analog-stereo>
                    device.string = "front:0"

If there is any further information you need, please let me know. I'll do my best to provide it. Thank you.

Best regards

Johannes
