The patches that Ubuntu applies to PulseAudio? If upstream 7.1 doesn't work, but Ubuntu's 7.1 does, you could try taking upstream 7.1 and applying manually the patches from Ubuntu's pulseaudio package. If that makes it work, then some of those patches does something magical. -- Tanu
