pulseaudio seems to resample without need

Bonjour,

Well, I'm owning an emu0404 pci card on a debian wheezy system.

With alsamixer, i turn frequency to 44100 Hz.
Then when listening an audio CD with soundjuicer (but I obtain same
result with vlc), frequency is to low ;
It seems that pulseaudio believe that it's in 48000 Hz and then resample
to 44100. When listening cd with soundjuicer, I have alsamixer in
another window and if I change, in alsamixer, the clock internal rate to
48000Hz, everything is ok ; it's strange because cd is 44100 Hz.

But, when ripping a song from the cd and listening him with alsa ( aplay
track1.wav), the good sound is obtained with 44100 setting in alsamixer.
And when I use jack, I have also to turn frequency to 44100 in alsamixer
to obtain a 44100 sampling.

But, with pulseaudio, I need to set clock internal rate to 48000Hz to
obtain a good listening of a cd at 44100 .....strange, isn't it ?

I've tried to uncomment some lines in pulse daemon.conf :

default-sample-format = s16le
default-sample-rate = 44100
default-sample-channels = 2
default-channel-map = front-left,front-right

but it has no effect, even if I type

default-sample-rate = 48000

Well , I don't know what to do....

cordialement,
