Adaptive jitter buffer

hi
 
i'm trying to check running voip over "pan"  ..meaning 
ppp over bluetooth  .. the bandwidth is about 115kb 
so it should work  .. but i get a very big jitter 
the codec is speex 
 
any idea ?
