Basically, we are running 46 phone lines at the moment (2 T1's). I am able to squeeze about 2000-2500 calls per hour through them (this stat is somewhat arbitrary). Call quality is good except for some minor issues caused by external equipment. CPU utilization averages around 2-3% on a newer model 4-way Intel server (that is total system usage while calling on all lines). Eventually we will be moving over to our new IP trunks which will allow us to utilize many more phone lines. In testing I have run into issues in the area of 200 lines, but I think I can work through these. Scaling appears to be quite linear in terms of CPU utilization. I suspect the ram situation would be similar if we where not forced to run multiple processes in order to get around some of the limitations in pjsua-lib. At the moment, I have each process set up to handle at most 32 phone lines. -- Michael Broughton, Advanis Unintended Recipient & Unauthorized Use of E-Mail: This message and attachments may contain confidential or privileged information that is intended only for the named recipient of this e-mail.
