Hi Gurhan, You are right. I should not have made that comment. Often I see people get slammed on this list and I was hesitant to ask the question in the first place. I thought the list was for anyone needing help. Well it seems the list is for intermediate to advanced users I see now ;-) I did the google search before I asked the list, but I did not know the correct term I was looking for. So I was making no progress. Then 'session' came up and now I know what to look for. Thank again for your help, Robbie P.S. Thanks George, I will look that up now... -----Original Message----- From: Gurhan Ozen [mailto:ergenekon@starpower.net] Sent: Sunday, May 25, 2003 5:42 PM To: Robert Williams Subject: RE: password/entry On Sun, 2003-05-25 at 00:25, Robert Williams wrote: > Thanks Gurhan, that is what I was looking for (sessions and the links you > gave). At least someone on this list is decent and not a smart a___. > Hi Robert, Thank you, but please don't insult others in the list:) some people are very pro and very web/programming savvy and they might sometimes even get offended on what they consider very easy or very ambiguous questions. I'd never ask such a question in the list, I'd be able to find it out by using google.com and php.net websites, however I know that not everyone is like me.. But unfortunately, some doesn't understand this:) Besides, what you consider a "smartass" reaction might be completely legitimate to someone else.. So, even if someone is being a real ass on the list, just ignore them... When you complain about it, you just lower the chances of getting any answers next time you ask a question:) Please don't take this personal, just take it as an advice from a friend:) Sincerely, Gurhan Ozen > > -----Original Message----- > From: Gurhan Ozen [mailto:ergenekon@starpower.net] > Sent: Saturday, May 24, 2003 9:53 PM > To: Robert Williams > Cc: php-db@lists.php.net > Subject: Re: password/entry > > On Sat, 2003-05-24 at 21:16, Robert Williams wrote: > > Hi everyone, > > > > Where can I find information about having a password access to certain > > files/directories (PHP/MySQL)?
