Before you look into any of those, would be possible that the problem would actually be an index problem? If theres no index, or the indexes are built wrong and paradox isn't using them, the larger the db gets, the slower it will run. I've never used paradox before, so I'm not sure if there ARE even indexes. Just an idea.
Paradox does have indexes; e.g. I have two indexes on the visite.db table, one main index and a chrono index. I had already tried to add and change indexes, but it doesn't seem to produce any improvement in speed.
