Firebird PHP Module

I have a crude Firebird PHP class that allows me to use 
Firebird_Connect etc, but which currently links to the 
Interbase PHP Module.

Had a search on the list, but PHP and Module get used 
everywhere, so hundreds of hits.

Is anybody working on a Firebird PHP Module, or is it fair 
game to attack.

( Cross posted to the PHP-DB list for obvious reasons - 
latest searches there seem to flag a few possible problems 
with FB1.5, but I did not look closer - I'm trying to get to 
a point where I can freeze my PHP package and I'd like it to 
be as current as poss before putting it into the field )
