Something to look at might be if there's a low-tier commercial hosting plan with Charter, that might be better than moving off to GoDaddy (which I have very personally strong averse feelings to, so take that into account). Also, not trying to talk you out of a job or anything like that, but there are also things like wordpress.com and other public blogging platforms. A completely left-field thing now is also github pages. You can't run PHP, but wow can you make a great backbone.js app there. Anyway, just tossing out ideas.
