This was a job for a private company, and my code is in many aircraft flying in the sky right now. But I once did do a job for a company that was under contract to one of the branches of the military, and we did spend $100s of millions of the tax payers money to build a really cool inertial reference unit - unfortunately, we only built one, and then they didn't want it any more.
