With apc enabled, pear package mdb2 breaks with following error:
<b>Fatal error</b>: Class 'PEAR' not found in
<b>/usr/share/pear/MDB2/Driver/mysql.php</b> on line <b>876</b><br />
disabling apc and site works just dandy again.
