I solved the problem. I need to use

    10.0.1.3/somedir/somedir/somefile.html

and not

    localhost/somedir/somedir/somefile.html,

something I don't understand (probably because of lack of knowledge of
PHP/Apache. Strange thing is: on both addresses the .html file can be
reached, only the PHP processing doesn't happen...
