doubt in mail() in php

[suresh kumar <asureshkumar_1983@xxxxxxxxxxx>]

this is my code

       if(@mail('suresh@xxxxxx','subject','hai this is
the test','sakthi@xxxxxx')):
          print "mail sent succesfully";
       else:
            print "mail can send";
endif;
          i dont know whether there is any problem
with my coding or server problem.both from and two
addresses are valid one.
