Belinda, I myself only have limited experience with self-publishing. Most from organizing the catalogs for the list plus a few similar items. I have only used the ISBN number a few times. I guess if you are thinking of selling then I would maybe go that route. As far as copyright I have relied on simply stating the book and contents are ©. I am not sure what protection that provides. Pitfalls? Get one printed copy and examine it before going for the 100. Check and double check the text. Check for color quality. I guess keep the project fun. It will be educational on many levels. Best wishes, Andy ________________________________________ From: PhotoForum <photoforum-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> on behalf of Belinda Peters <picasso@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, February 11, 2024 9:45 AM To: photoforum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Publishing Questions I have a few questions regarding self-publishing a book of my work. I have the book ready in a PDF format. It is 94 pages. I am hoping that my esteemed colleagues on this list might have the experience I lack and be able to answer my questions. 1. What is your opinion on having an ISBN number for a limited copy edition? Under 100. 2. What is the best way to deal with copyright issue? 3. Any pitfalls to be aware of for the beginner? Thank you, in advance! Belinda Peters picasso@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
