35mm Kodak VPS film rewound by hand if I am remembering this correctly. Frame in camera was masked to be square and shutter was open all the time. Care was taken to eliminate light from background which was black but still a little reflective. Aperture I think was something like f/11 and the lighting was bt a studio flash … Balcar if I am not mistaken … could be kept firing for 50 flashes at low output.
