Your flower image is very striking, I especially
enjoyed the colors. Choosing a black background was indeed the right
choice. For some reason for me, I wished the flower was rotated clockwise
just a little. There's a tenseness in the comp. with the right space being
empty. Maybe it's nothing more than me viewing thousands of images over
the years and developing a "stuck thought" about
composition.
