Xiaomi is huge in China. You can't currently get these outside of China and some other minor Asian countries.  I hear they are working on that but Apple might not happy as Xiaomi's Android UI is pretty much the iphone UI.

the Chinese have been leaps and bounds ahead in phone features for quite a while - Xiaomi may be the botique brand, but even some of the more obscure ones have been knocking out some good gear.
