As seen at the PhotoForum member’s exhibit wall at http://people.rit.edu/andpph/gallery.html

Pini Vollach - Cat - Interesting how the cat competes against the geometrical shapes ... including the square format of the photograph. Wish I could say more but can't think of anything. It is a pleasant image though.

Philip Wayner - Turtlehead - Hmmm ... the enhanced granular pattern is just a bit too overwhelming for me. There is too much "dead" space on the upper side of the photograph in my opinion.

Bob Mcculloch - Sunrise - As sunrises go this one does not make it in my opinion as far as being spectacular. The halos below the Sun are a bit distracting.

John Palcewski - Ischia Ponte, Italia - Can't get "into" this photograph. Is there a visual story here? The man figure seems strange. Is he looking for shells. And the women, are they waiting for him? The fragment of a breakwater with a seagull on it is a bit distracting as are the boat fragments.

Art Faul - In Harm's Way - Very good composition. Got impact. The patterns of gravestones "make" this photograph. I might have cropped the left side a bit myself but that is me. It works as is.

Klaus Knuth - Jan in Arlington, VA, December 2014 - Jan? Jan? It is unclear what the subject of the photograph is. If it is the act of photographing a "rowd" in the distance I guess that is OK. I am mostly drawn in by the nicely manicured trees. But the photograph I believe is tilted and that detracts some from it IMO.

Yoram Gelman - Gleaning - Hmmmm ... I think the point of view is not effective (for me) I think a wider view might be better. I think the legs at lower right would benefit from not being left out of the frame. There is something "haunting" about the image though. But it could benefit from a more effective presentation.

Finally please not these are just my observations and are bound to be different from that of many others',

Andy
