I have tablets older then bamboo still in use. Have you tried it on a different computer? Sometimes the cables go bad. They are easy to replace.
I have downloaded every available driver and update and no go. I am going to assume that, since this is one of the first Bamboos, it is just no longer supported. Guess I will look at an Intuos. Thanks everyone for input.

Yeah thats not good. It should show up even with no drivers. I would try it on a different computer. It should work with no driver in limited capacity and show up system profile

I leave mine on all the time unless I leave town or there's storms. It makes my morning start-up routine much faster.
Another reason is that I have all my backup archiving done in the night so the computer must stay on for that.
If anything on my system gets glitchy I run a restart and frequently that solves the problem.

Subject: Re: Wacom BambooI don’t find Mavericks to be the most user friendly OS out there. There is a ton of stuff which suddenly does not run as it was really Power PC software, and Apple has ditched that compatibility without telling us.On Aug 6, 2014, at 3:12 PM, Lea Murphy <lea@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
I am running their Wacom Pro on the newest operating system on a brand new laptop with no trouble at all…doesn't help you, I realize.Might you uninstall and reinstall it? A pain, I know.Another thing you might try (assuming you don't do a shut down each night) is a complete shut down of your system, not a restart. Last week my second monitor up and disappeared from my desktop…it was completely black. A total reboot brought it back just as it was supposed to have been.Lea
