Lea, I shut down my computer every day and even in the middle of day if I leave for a long time. Why not to ? Pini From: owner-photoforum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:owner-photoforum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jan Faul I don’t find Mavericks to be the most user friendly OS out there. There is a ton of stuff which suddenly does not run as it was really Power PC software, and Apple has ditched that compatibility without telling us. Might you uninstall and reinstall it? A pain, I know. Another thing you might try (assuming you don't do a shut down each night) is a complete shut down of your system, not a restart. Last week my second monitor up and disappeared from my desktop…it was completely black. A total reboot brought it back just as it was supposed to have been. Lea
