No. It's not new information.
You remove photos from FB by clicking on the Options item under the
photo and choosing delete or its equivalent.
But of course, likely everything online, it's all archived by the
proprietor of the site. So you might as well not bother.
The chance of any one image being used widely to your detriment is so
tiny. Some gargantuan, unimaginable number of images is created
every year and uploaded throughout the internet and so many of them
are like microstock - totally useless, poor quality.
If you want your work to be seen by the people on FB that you share
it with, you put it there. Just like if you want your work to be
seen by the people you drive to your web site, you put it there. If
you don't put it up, nobody knows you do it.
Your choice.
