It goes without saying (so why am I writing this?) that anyone doing serious image editing should be using a tablet; you'll wonder how you ever did what you did with a mouse.

To that end Wacom is the only game in town.

For a really good time ask your friends to try it...it's funny how many people look as if they've never held a pencil in their lives. My favorites are the ones who stick out their tongues the first few times.

The first time I saw a tablet was in 1983, and it was then that I knew all my ’studio skills’ were obsolete. All I could think about was how to get rid of (sell) the 800 sheets of 8x10 film I either had in the fridge or on order so I could always shoot 4x5 which fit nicely on the scanner and which looked no different to the scanner.

I’ve been using a Wacom tablet prototype since before you born Randy and I can’t imagine not having one now. The Cintiq was not the same as my hand was always getting in the way. I had already tied one elsewhere, but I could’t get it to fit my way of working. First of all the Wacom tablet is light and the Cintiq isn’t.
