I think you were smart to buy a RIP, as the Epson driver is not a RIP. It’s not a great driver either, as every timeI try to get mine to bring the blue Volvo to the door when I want to go out, it refuses.

My printing headaches subsided when I bought this combo.
That said, had I known back then (five or so years ago) that I was going to lock on to one specific paper, I might have saved myself a bunch of money and just had a custom printer profile done. I have used many papers through the years, though, and each of them is headache-free. Punch up the profile and print. It's really that easy.
