I'm not familiar with using a RIP.  Are paper profiles involved?  If so, maybe the profile you're using has become corrupted -- in which case change the paper and try printing to the new paper.  

Another thought. . . you say same media you've always used but is it a new batch that maybe has mfg flaws??

Are you sending images that were previously printing ok? -- or are these new (possibly bad) images?
