Well I'm _very_much_ closer. Using Google Maps, each way: inland
route 918km in just 10 hours 9 minutes. Or along the coast 1027km in
merely 13 hours and 19 minutes.
Seriously though, I've been wanting to pop up to Sydney (Penrith is
just a few km West of Sydney) for a while, and this could be a reason
for making it before the 27th of July.
In the meantime, I'll try and encourage some Sydney-siders to duck
out to Penrith.
