I also had Release Candidate 2 and was asked whether I wanted to upgrade. (I'm on Windows though...)

Did you try what happens if you search for updates from within Lightroom (under "Help")?

I have received notices that Lightroom 4.1 is available.

When I look at my version of Lightroom 4 I see that it is version 4.1RC.

What does RC mean? And should I install the 4.1 upgrade or do I already have it?

I'm on a Mac if that matters (and I doubt it does).
