Mark: The problem is likely that the lens was slightly colder than the filter when you put it on. The filter then contracted when it got to the same temp as the lens. If you have a heating pad, you could warm that up and then put the lens, filter side down, on the pad for a couple of minutes and then try to remove it. I’d suggest running it under hot water but you surely want to be able to use the lens, not just the filter <grin> after you get the filter off. I have a filter stuck on the front of the 28 80 2.8L that just doesn't want to come off. I suppose I could just leave it on in that its a UV, but sooner or later its bound to be a problem.
