Ken, I'd like to talk a whole lot more about that M9 of yours! Beautiful tool by all accounts. Your image brought to mind a series I did some time ago when I bought my first Leica...an M6. I'd spent many years using autofocus cameras and was not so good at manual focusing. I carried the M6 with me everywhere I went. I gave myself the challenge of photographing whoever was sitting across from me when I was eating; the subjects were most often not moving too quickly which increased my chances of successful focus. I did this for an entire year. I printed the images as 5x7 black and whites and assembled them into albums with the name of the person, the date and the place we were eating scribed underneath. It's a pretty interesting series. The far left white tablecloth in your image could be burned down, yes, but the eyes of your dining mate tell a lot. I think your image is lovely and I'm glad you contributed to the gallery. Send more.
