Leah Murphy – Coffee with Lauren
Nice shot of a lovely smile. I am amazed how quickly the years have passed since your first image of Lauren on this list, back in the days of the poodles, I think. The subject is obviously pleased with where she is and who she is with. This is a good record shot that is excellent just the way it is, however, it might be a little better if the cups were in focus and the gamma was adjusted slightly to separate Lauren's hair from the tree and show a little detail in the side of her face. The ear and ear ring would be enough to fill in the dark clipped area. Again, a lovely shot of a lovely young woman.

Emily Ferguson-Tea cup
Nice winter shot with the mug placed to immediately capture attention. Unfortunately, the bright red chair competes. The scene looks a little overexposed with the chair colors a little washed out. The fact that I'm writing this on a netbook, probably explains that.

Jim Snarski-Great Blue
Good timing, Jimmy. This is well cropped and the detail on the wing and eye are spot on. These magnificent animals are incredible.

Katarina Kataeva
Interesting image. The monochrome doesn't work for me however. I would add some brown to the foggy trees and lighten the eerie blue cast. While working on the image I was somehow reminded of Ella Mae Morris singing "The house, the House of blue lights". Now I can not get that tune out of my mind.

John Palcewski-Winter Blues
Nice record shot of the winter of 2011. It needs to be straightened and white balance set about 2000° Kelvin lower.

Trevor Cunningham-grandfather
Excellent Rembrandt lighting and interesting contrast between grumpy grandpa and the innocent child. For me, a crop to square format would work a little better. Great shot for the family mantle.

Yoram Gelman-Icing
Here is winter dark and dreary but as an ice storm it is an image of a storm well past it's prime. This is an excellent image of a dull gray winter day but not of an ice storm.

Mark Harris-Kari Marie Reflected
I think this image would be helped by some serious cropping to the top, the bottom, and the left side. This would remove the white object on top of the model's head, the reflection of the models hand at the bottom of the picture, and the white object on the models left. that would pretty much leave just the model and the models reflection.
