Thank you. I went to the MS website and I see that they are to cease support for XP SP2 on the 13 July this year and advise using SP3. So I will not be uninstalling.

 

On Monday I will ring MS (UK) to see what they say.

 

I think it because SETUP.exe is a Win 16 application as the other win 16 applications will not run either. These are applications designed to run with Win 16 OS like Windows 3. My Corel draw version 3 won’t load either.

I have a new computer running with XP service pack 3 but none of my Win sixteen bit applications will load. Photoshop 6 and illustrator 8, my two graphics applications will load.

 

Does anyone know a fix apart from upgrading to new software that I cannot afford?

 

I have paint shop pro 7 loaded so I will use that until I f

 

These applications ran on my previous computer that had XP service pack 2 as the operating system.

  1. Find the .exe for the application.
  2. RIGHT click on the .exe file.
  3. Choose Properties and then click on the Compatibility tab.
  4. Check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
  5. Now choose the operating system you need to emulate.
