Sorry Andy, I worded my question poorly. This product is obviously an attachment of some sort. I was just wondering if you know of a product that does, effectively, the same thing, but at a greater level of intensity, almost like a microscope, that is easily portable in the field.

Trevor,

I am not sure you meant this Andy but I don't know. The Russian lens appears to be a "diopter" type close up attachment that fits in front of regular lenses but it is not really clear in the ad.

After posting this, and pondering the idea that macro just doesn't go
micro enough, I did some digging and found this product:

Now that I think about it, Andy, is there a rather portable, more
microscopic, attachment/lens you could possibly use in the field?
