D.L. Shipman - Bad feather day in Florida jungle. I like the rich
color, exquisitely sharp focus, and effective use of depth of field to
soften the background greenery. Don't know what ruffled this bird's
feathers, but I'd give him a wide berth. Well done.

Emily L. Ferguson - The mouth of Clark's Cove in New Bedford, MA. An
abundance of dark rocks, as far as the eye can see, which would be
much more interesting if there were a contrasting counterpoint,
something to give the view a sense of scale. Like that brightly
painted dinghy you mentioned.

Dan Mitchell - West Walton Church     The massive wall of arches
appears to be curved, which makes this study interesting.

Mark Harris - Karen and Liz    A mother/daughter relationship is
always complicated and sometimes troublesome, but it's good to see
that at least for the moment there's harmony and good feeling. Nice
catch of a loving interaction.

Marilyn Dalrymple - Topper, earning his keep by being a paperweight.
This appealing image would be greatly improved by cropping out the
stuff on the right and the left. The eyes, the curved paw, the
penetrating and intelligent gaze make up the subject we're drawn to.

Guy Glorieux - Family picture      There's an enigmatic aspect to this
assembly of folks. Are they singing? Watching a solo performance?
The dark window on the left could be cloned out, or cropped, but then
on the other hand it serves to balance the guy on the far right.

Yoram Gelman - Benches and Snow      I don't know how cute the
lustmaster is, but I'd be inclined to tell him/her to leave the tree
in. The couple appear to be following the long line of the
benchtops, which leads the eye to the rest of the image. Good study.

Jerry McCown - Art Museum     This really works, in every respect.
Excellent framing, a great capture of body language, and the artwork
is an extension of the figures' femininity... it's either bicycle
wheels or flowers in a dynamic arrangement. Well done.

Don Draper - 2 together Excellent juxtaposition of subjects and
artwork, in which the viewers themselves become part of the art. Too
bad the girl's heels are covered by that step.
