Comments on some of this week's gallery -- and as always only my own thoughts:

Jack Klasey - Arizona #2
The difference in sharpness between the massive rock and the cloudy background gives the image a three dimensional effect, which is very touching.  But perhaps more contrast within the clouds would give it more impact.  Maybe not.

Emily L. Ferguson - Wing's Neck light
The overlapping two land masses are very effective in opposition to each other, but the symmetry removes some of the impact.  Perhaps if only a small portion of the further mass were visible it would suggest the entire point and would also become the target as the eye is lead to it alon div>

Mark Harris - Jordana Shadowed
The technique with the lace is very interesting and I'm looking forward to trying it.  But I understand the cause of the debate over the need to crop the photo; the bottom portion is very disturbing to me.

The PhotoForum members' gallery/exhibit space was updated APR 10, 2010. Authors
with work now on display at: http://people.rit.edu/andpph/gallery.html include:

          Jack Klasey - Arizona #2
          Dan Mitchell - Road Sign
          Andrew Davidhazy - Doomed
          Mark Harris - Jordana Shadowed

The photo by MHarris was debated as to inclusion or not among several people
here. Ultimately it was decided to include it although a different cropping
would have been preferred.
