On this same topic,
I've been teaching here near Chicago at a community college as an adjunct for almost 10 years and am finally getting my backside moving and going to grad school for an MFA. I've bee accepted at three colleges already and am finding myself in a dilemma that hopefully some of you might be able to give me some insight and guidance. Two of the colleges are here in the US and offer MFA Photo degrees, another college  (University of Ulster in Northern Ireland) only has a general MFA program that I can complete using my camera. The question is: are general MFA degrees looked on as strongly as a MFA degree in photography when going out looking for a full-time job at a college? Also, how are degrees from Europe, Asia the Middle East etc... looked on here in the U.S? Are they considered as strongly as degrees obtained in the states?

Any input or suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,

Hans
