[Chris] I read the history of the commune with interest. I do not know why
it is considered un-American as the first leader of the republic who lead
the revolt against the British was left wing and wanted an idealistic state but the English came back and made sure the new American republic did not go
that way. In Europe all the socialist communes went the same way and it
looks like socialism is not a successful way of life. It is in reality an
instinctive adaptation to difficult conditions after all I believe the first American colonists from Europe were left wing and wanted an ideal community.
