The PhotoForum members' gallery/exhibit space was updated OCT 03, 2009. Authors with work now on display at: http://people.rit.edu/andpph/gallery.html include: John Palcewski - Cake Eater [Chris] This is an example of an essential aspect of human life caught on camera. Pini Vollach - Dancing [Chris] Yes, Dancing is a charming human activity. It is probably instinctive and part of the mating process as do birds. Marilyn Dalrymple - Summer Reading [Chris] I read the history of the commune with interest. I do not know why it is considered un-American as the first leader of the republic who lead the revolt against the British was left wing and wanted an idealistic state but the English came back and made sure the new American republic did not go that way. In Europe all the socialist communes went the same way and it looks like socialism is not a successful way of life. It is in reality an instinctive adaptation to difficult conditions after all I believe the first American colonists from Europe were left wing and wanted an ideal community. Christopher Strevens - Picnic Belinda Peters - Texas, April 2009 [Chris] This picture has an inverted V shaped shadow in the foreground as if there was a big building behind the photographer casting a shadow. It looks like an orchard with a perimeter fence and has shown me something about America that I did not know. Mark Harris - Lyndsey [Chris] This shows a rather bored young woman expressing her disdain of being photographed. She obviously only did it for the money. Did the photographers do it for money also? Peeter Vissak - September in the Rain [Chris] Peeter does like this sort of image, he must spend a long time indoors looking through his window! Dan Mitchell - Separates [Chris] The two men are in no way in contact with each other. It must be lunch time outside a public building, possibly a library. [Chris] Thank you very much for these images, it is always wonderful to view the world through another person's mind.
