There a sort in Bridge for date, under the View menu.
You can then run the slide show from Bridge using the command in the View menu.
You can also drag and drop the images in the Bridge viewer into the
order you want them and they will stay there until you quit Bridge.
Your cameras should always have their date and time correct.
