My opinions, worth no more than and probably less than two cents.
Bob McCulloch - Chesapeake Cat Boat. More drama could be obtained by zooming in much closer to the boat. Seems rather static in the placid water.
Greg Fraser - Water Garden. The bright overexposed and out of focus yellow pulls attention away from the tack-sharp frog. I would have poked the frog with a stick, to get him (or her) in a less distracting background.
Dan Mitchell - Castle on the Hill. This is a busy panorama with no particular area of interest, which is to say that each element competes with the other. The soft focus doesn't help, either.
Emily L. Ferguson - Yorkminster tower. An imposing edifice, yet very placid and static at the same time.
Trevor Cunningham - 33 - oliver robert cunningham Fascinating mirroring of mother and child. It's hard to discern whether either or both are happy or sad, or merely aleep. She may be whispering something. What could it be? I like the closeness, the intimacy.
Roy Miller - Oh Lost and By the Wind Grieved Ghost.....come back again, as first I knew you in the timeless valley, where we shall feel ourselves anew, bedded on magic in the month of June. This Spanish dancer is evocative, even in Photoshopped disguise.
D.L. Shipman - Underexposed first quarter moon from yesteryear. Picasso lives! Interesting manipulation. It works.
