In some ways I was going for stronger abstraction then in some of my
previous light painting images. I was trying to just expose enough that it
was obviously a nude figure but not so much that the viewer would see the
full body.
There is additional background that I probably should have explained. The
model, Engel Schrei, writes a very interesting, personal blog. I felt that
some images like this would be useful to her to illustrate that writing. In
fact, she used this image in a recent post much to my delight.

An interesting shape - egg-shaped. But I wish the light had been used for
more than just lighting the egg. I think it's because there's no strong
connection for me between the area that's lit and the natural shape of the
