David Dyer-Bennet: I find this
fascinating. I like the look of motion (for lack of a better term) the
curvature of the image gives, the colors are bright and saturated; it's
unusual. Great shot.
Emily Ferguson
Boatshop, Blakeny, Norfolk: When looking at this, I feel that, if I were at the site where this was taken, I would be walking back into history. The scene has a wonderful olde feel to it. I like the textures (the old wood and tile). A nice shot. David Small: There is so much in this shot to comment on, I don't know where to
begin. The ". . . Least 25 People are Dead," above "Britney
Spears live from Las Vegas," and the two (probably) visitors in the
front who are out of focus (life passes us by, quickly). Even the taxi cab
adds a dimension to the image.
In this one photo it tells us: People die, people
live, people start out young, then age. People are on the go - and life
continues. I'm sure a psychiatrist or psychologist would have a field day
interpreting this image.
Valery Firsov
Who are You ?: A nice photograph. I can imagine what the dog must be thinking (Did I find a new life form?) this photograph made me smile. I like that. Christopher Strevens
Free!: This photograph carries a message, also. The "School," sign, and the young man walking away from the sign; the curved road beside him that could be a symbol for where students go when they are done with their schooling (no one really knows where life's curved roads will take us, do they?). Is the student walking away from life's opportunities, or is he just taking a new unexplored path? Don Draper: This photograph has beautiful colors and I
really enjoy the detail in the flower. I like the blurred, darker
background. It is framed and composed nicely. God job?
Thank you to those who
contributed and to Andy and staff for hanging the show. Viewing the
gallery is a great way to start a Saturday.
