Karl I have had a few operations, and I do appreciate the sympathy, but there is no reason for sympathy. Instead I am thankful. In a way I would call it a gift.

You see I know what its like to face the possibility of not seeing in either eye, have a patch over it an wonder if its going to work when they pull it off, and the joy of a sunset after it has in the past.

That has given me an appreciation for both photography and sight in general. I now stop and look where in the past I might have walked right by.

Now I understand about the glasses. Has your bride tried contact lenses? They often help a great deal. My bride has to use them ans sees so much better with them. I assume she has been seen by an eye specialist, and not just someone that fits glasses to make sure the eye is healthy.

Photographers tend to both rely on and appreciate the gift of sight far more than others.
