Re: Long digital exposures?

I was going by AZ's description of, "Some of the film images were made with very long exposures - up to 15 minutes!" Most of mine are in the 2-5 minute range and have been as long as an hour or so. I doubt the batteries would hold up for any exposures longer than that and I haven't looked into powering externally. I doubt I would ever want to make such lengthy exposures, I lack the patience plus I would likely need some way to keep the lens clear of condensation.

I do long exposures with digital quite frequently, and have for a few
years now. I don't know about Michael Kenna-style (had to look him
up), as mine are done in the dark of night and I don't know what his
chosen time of day is. I also work in color where he seems to prefer
black & white.

just out of curiosity, what are we talking about here with 'long'. my last few long ones were 6 hour ones, and an hour or two is pretty common for my long exposures..
