Here's an interesting idea (and one that's often dismissed as 'can't be done') which allows a PC user to run two computers, utilizing both monitors as the display for a single PC.

Not the cheapest way to run a dual monitor setup, nor the most energy efficient, but it works!  Nice if someone has a spare low spec computer lying about and wants a dual display, or for someone who uses a laptop and a desktop and needs a bit more desktop realestate from time to time

I use two computers with two monitors.
Usually the old second computer is shut down and the two monitors are working with the newest computer ( model 2005 ) who have a graphic card that deal with the two monitors.
The old computer hold three HDs and serve as picture warehouse + it has SCSI card for the  old Nikon Coolscan.
It is very very convenient to work with 2 monitors.
I can use one for e-mail software and the other for PS or LightRoom 1.4 for example.
In this moment for example I write this message on the left hand monitor (17") while the browser is on the right side monitor (19") with the former link shows.
Photoshop itself know to put the main window on one screen while the tools are on the other one.
LightRoom knows to do it only with ver. 2.0 and up.
The main monitor (19") serve only the "new" computer while the other (17") one can be switched between the two computers by double click on "Scroll Lock" button on the keyboard via a small "Edimax" device. ( This is a quite cheap devise )
When the second monitor serve the second computer than the mouse and keyboard also serve this computer.
