There are lots of ways around this. Adding a watermark. Adding
copyright notices. Protecting with right-click software that does
not allow downloading. There are ways around all of those, but they
will deter somebody looking for any easy photo to grab. And if you
can prove that a watermark or copyright notice was deliberately
removed, it's a criminal offense and you can sue. SmugMug allows you
to use any and all of those protections.
