I agree with David that one
needs several backups. I don't store any of my photos on my C drive (so it has
plenty of room for scratch space for Photoshop and for printing large prints). I
have a data photo drive and a backup data photo drive in my computer. I have
backups of various data on my older, smaller hard drives on a shelf and a hard
drive located off the premises. I use some of my older drives to make functional
backups of my C drive so I can just switch them in if the C drive gets nailed
somehow.
