Such English faces! I like the way the younger one is looking naturally while the twins have figured out to mug for the camera!

Boy, that alley really distracts me. The color's nice enough but it can't put the gloss on the powerlines, parked SUVs and plastic clapboard. Reminds me of Sternfeld. But without the irony.

The tree's doing a great imitation there! And the IR helps although it seems a bit on the overexposed side.

Interesting. The thumbnail is sideways, the image comes off the page sideways, but somehow the gallery has it displayed right side up when you click on the link.
There's something not quite right about the image to me. I think it's that the tonality is so uniform from foreground to background. In my experience things in fog are clearer when they're closer and get foggier as one looks into the distance.

Hmm. Maybe it's time for me to make a trip back in time and see how much has changed out there! An interesting situation with many options for orientation. This is one, but it would be fun to check out some others. The tan area in the bottom R corner is kind of a shame. I wonder how it would look if the narrow end were square to the R edge of the image.

The color is really great. I kinda wish the burlap weren't there, however, or at least the edges of it. And the angle of the head in relation to the sand/rock "pillow" doesn't mimic the normal way that people put their heads on/in pillows. I think the head needs to be tilted back some, so that the bust doesn't look so much like it's balanced on one point of the forehead.
So the concept isn't quite successful for me, but the clarity of the colors is really excellent.
Qkano - Archival Quality
Really crunchy sharp and a very realistic amount of light on the stone of the arcade. Pick a cloudy day to shoot stained glass windows and take a tripod! As for the crop? Maybe square?
Thanks, as always, to Andy and his crew. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's email to see the next gallery.
