You should have no shift in the black. Are you suing black point
compensation in your conversion ? There is no red that is in gamut in aSRG that
is not also in gamut in sRGB. Now there might be a translational error due to
the color engine you are using where the number ( each color has a number) is
not put into the sRGB space at the correct location.
I suggest
(1) try just assigning the sRGB profile to your file and see how it
prints
(2) convert the aRGB into LAB space first and then convert into sRGB and
see how it prints
(3) is your monitor profiled?
(4) is your histogram covering the full ( or almost) length of the
horizontal axis (~0-10 to ~245-255?
