Andy:

Go to http://www.sekonic.com/images/files/L-358.pdf and download the Sekonic L-358 manual.

Then scan down to the Advanced Functions bookmark and you'll see another sub-bookmark on how to convert from EV to foot-candles. I don't think that EV's are dependent on ISO values but are a measure of the total amount of lumens falling on the scene.

It's been so long since EV's were introduced that I have forgotten how one connects the scene EV to the ISO value.

If you need that info., I'll dig further.

Cheers,

James

Hi,

Anyone know of an easy way to go from EV measured at a given ASA
to foot-candles falling on a scene? I tried doing it but am not
sure I succeeded so before I go further I thought I'd check here
for possible history on this matter. There were several (many)
URLs on the web with info but sometimes they were conflicting or
widely divergent in nature.
