Those scallops! They are so wonderful. I didn't try it, but I
wonder whether you might have a really neat image without the door -
just the scalloped line and the roof line above. White is really
hard - it's so easy to burn it out and lose the texture of the
whitewash and walls. Have fun printing that one!
Don Roberts - Route 66
Amazing. I haven't been on Route 66 since 1955 when we actually
drove Route 40 and 66 from the east coast to see the great landmarks
of the American West. That's a very interesting icon. Did you use
fill flash to keep it from silhouetting? Is it a bench on the other
side, to sit and look out over the great grasslands on the North
American continent?
Guy Glorieux - Cerberus, gardian of the river Styx
Well, this is really neat. I like the skewed angle of the tree in
the foreground, and can't find a seam anywhere. Did you assemble it
in Photoshop or in the camera? There's something very ominous about
it - the slurred snow/water, the angled tree, the large boulders.
Very neat!
Steve Shapiro - Moment in Doggie Life
Looks like you didn't have enough space to live there! And, sure, it
might have been much improved by lying down on the floor and shooting
the waving tails and view of all the mysteries outdoors. But it's so
California and sort of '50s-ish with the curtain over the door and
the old coolers outside. This New Englander has never really lived
in a place where half the living is outdoors and life just spills out
the doors.
