: To begin with, monitors can't use more than 72 or 96 dpi, Hiya Em - I have a trinitron 20" monitor, 16" across the top and with my matrox card I can set it to 1600x1280 - that's 1600/16" = 100dpi other video cards can go to even higher resolutions.. of course the lowest is 640x480 - a mere 40 dpi (!) k
